Loved the AI Fundamentals!

I just completed the AI Fundamentals course and it was fantastic! The instructors explained everything so clearly, even complex concepts made sense. The interactive lessons kept me engaged, and I actually looked forward to logging in every day. I'm already planning my next track, probably Machine Learning Scientist. I'm telling all my friends who want to get into AI about DataCamp. So glad I found this platform!

Good courses, easy to use

I bought the Python Programmer track last month. The content was clear and the coding challenges were helpful. I finished the first few modules quickly. Overall, it was a good experience.

Decent value, some small issues

I signed up for the Data Scientist with R track during a 50% off sale. The courses were well-structured and the interactive exercises really helped me grasp new concepts. I liked how they broke down complex topics into digestible parts. However, I noticed a few times that the coding environment lagged a bit, especially during peak hours. Also, I wished there were more real-world project examples included earlier in the track. Customer service responded fairly quickly when I had a question about my subscription, though. Good content for the price I paid.

Helpful for SQL skills

I purchased the SQL Fundamentals track about two months ago to brush up on my database skills for a new job. The ordering process was straightforward on their website; I just picked the track and checked out. Access to the courses was immediate. The content itself was very practical, starting with basic queries and moving into more advanced topics like joins and subqueries. I particularly appreciated the hands-on coding exercises right in the browser, which made learning much more efficient than just watching videos. I did contact support once because I had trouble submitting an answer on a specific challenge, and they got back to me within a day with a solution that fixed it. The platform felt robust and I had no other technical issues. I definitely feel more confident with SQL now.

Does DataCamp have a student discount? Like, do they verify with UNiDAYS or something?

L Linda Wright 1 week ago
Yep, they do! You usually have to verify your student status through something like SheerID or similar third-party platform.

Yeah, I got mine using a student ID verification. Just follow the link on their site, it'll take you through the process.

Can you actually download the videos for offline viewing? My internet is kinda spotty sometimes.

A Ashley B. 1 month ago
Nope, not directly for offline viewing in an app or anything. You need to be online to access the platform and courses.

I don't think so. It's all streamed on their platform. Haven't seen an option to download videos.

Is DataCamp good for someone just starting out in data science, like a total beginner?

D Donna G. 1 week ago
Totally. I started with their Python intro and it was super easy to follow. The interactive exercises really help.

Saw some deals for 50-75% off annual plans. When do those usually pop up? Like Black Friday or something?

O Olivia Harris 3 weeks ago
Black Friday and Cyber Monday are definitely big ones for those discounts. I got my subscription for like 70% off around then last year.

New Year's and sometimes Back to School in August/Sept also have good sales. Keep an eye out then!

How does DataCamp compare to Coursera? I'm trying to decide between the two for learning data analytics.

H Hannah P. 3 weeks ago
DataCamp is way more hands-on with coding exercises directly in the browser. Coursera is more like traditional lectures and quizzes.

D Danielle Martin 3 weeks ago
I used both. DataCamp is better for actually coding along and getting reps in. Coursera often has university courses which can be more in-depth but less interactive sometimes.
